Samantha receives Gippstar Award

Warragul local Samantha Atkinson has been awarded the September Gippstar Open Award for her achievements in lawn bowls.
As a result of a brilliant performance in the final of the Australian Indoor Bowls Championships at Club Tweed in New South Wales, Samantha was able to hoist her maiden women's singles title, with her victory over Merimbula's Reese Finn-Young.
In a high-class contest, the final result was a 10-5, 9-4 victory to Samantha which sealed her biggest career victory to date.
