Neerim District Bowling Club played their annual Australia Day tournament last week.
Under windy and cloudy conditions along with a few heavy showers the bowlers showed true Aussie spirit playing through in very challenging conditions.
The club was adorned with Australian flags, and even the table clothes were the Australian flag.
A very pleasing outcome was all rinks were filled.
The winning team was from the Warragul Bowls Club - skip Rob Renn, second Gaye Renn and lead John Vickerman.
John is a credit to bowls, always putting a team in the club's events.
The club thanked the sponsors of the tournament, Chris and Shane Hogan plus Peter Brooks for their support.
They also thanked the Baw Baw Shire mayor Anne Marie McCabe, who presented medallions provided by the Baw Baw Shire to the winning team.
