Power tools valued at just under $5000 were amongst items stolen from vehicles in Drouin on Thursday night.
Police reported a fixed tool box was forced open on a Toyota Hilux overnight in Bexley Blvd.
Milwaukee power tools stolen included a drill, grinder, circular saw, impact driver, impact wrench, blower and batteries.
The batteries have "Bates" written in either pink or orange paint markings.
Also in Bexley Blvd on the same night, a purse was stolen from a vehicle.
Police said the vehicle may have been left unlocked.
It is alleged bank cards from the beige Mocha vinyl purse were later used at several Warragul locations.
On the same night, police said CCTV captured an offender open a canopy fitted to the rear of a ute in Hearn St at 3.32am.
A bag of fishing gear was stolen.
The footage also captured a silver Ford Falcon AU. It is alleged occupants were hanging out of windows as they attempted to open other vehicles.
