Warragul Bowling Club held its Melbourne Cup day triples last week, with 48 players participating.
Teams came from Mitcham, Pakenham, Korumburra, Loch, Glenroy and Warragul to contest three games of 14 ends.
Winners on the day were the Warragul team of Paul Simmons, Daniel Sheehan and Bianca Browne, with three wins and 32 shots up.
Runners-up were Rob Renn, Gaye Renn and Brian Kennedy of Warragul, with three wins and 27 shots up.
Third place also went to a Warragul team consisting of David Gatewood, Tony Wynd and Heather Baker, with two wins and 31 shots up.
Best game also went to a Warragul team. That was the team of David Smith, John Vickerman and Des Stephens who won their first game by 23 shots.
