Police are again urging residents to lock their vehicles and remove valuables after a spate of thefts in Trafalgar last week.
Police said two offenders were arrested and charged with theft offences following a spate of thefts that saw multiple cars broken into and a Ford Ranger utility stolen.
The two offenders were charged separately and were allegedly involved in separate incidents, despite the crimewave occurring in the same week.
But residents are being urged to follow the simple message - "lock your cars."
Police said the offences were largely opportunistic with offenders walking around residential areas checking for unlocked cars.
Extra police patrols have been planned in the area but police said residents had to take responsibility for locking their vehicles and urged community members to call triple zero (000) if they see someone suspicious in the area.
