The Trafalgar Tennis Club held their annual championships on Sunday, with plenty of good play and competitive spirit shown by all.
Luke Bryant took out the men's title for the fourth consecutive time and the eighth overall, defeating club president Colin Maney in a highly entertaining final 6-3.
In a similar vein, Amy Chaplain claimed the women's championship for the fourth time in a row, overcoming Lara Codling 6-2 in their final. It was Amy's sixth time winning the trophy, continuing her family's strong ties to the club.
Both Luke and Amy showed why they've been club powerhouses for so long, with excellent court movement and consistently strong defensive strokes being staples of their respective playing styles.
The junior championships, played earlier in the day, saw a great turnout as the club's future stars showed their wares.
The girls title was won by Sarah Seddon, while Charlie Hennessy came out on top for the boys.
Overall, it was another successful tournament for the club, as both entrants and spectators enjoyed a great day of tennis.
