Sealing works begin
Cardinia councillor Kaye Cameron takes a look at early work underway to prepare for sealing of a six-kilometre section of Mt Lyall Rd at Heath Hill.

Preparatory work to seal a six-kilometre stretch of Mt Lyall Rd at Heath Hill is underway.
It is one of seven sections of road totalling more than 40 kilometres to be upgraded and sealed under Cardinia Shire's strategic sealed roads program that is jointly funded by council and the Australian government's local roads and community infrastructure fund.
Westernport ward councillor Kaye Cameron said the project involving road pavement construction, kerb and channeling, drainage, signage and line marking was expected to be completed by the end of the year.
She said the work would improve safety for users and reduce maintenance costs in an area where repairs are regularly requested.
The seven sites being upgraded in the shire are strategic links to the existing road network and motorists are asked to be patient and also obey traffic management in place while work is in progress.
