Police are investigating two incidents of thefts from cars in Trafalgar that they believe may be linked to the same offender.
The two incidents occurred in Blackwood Crt and Carnegie Crt overnight on September 9.
Several of the stolen items were found in a nearby neighbourhood park.
Police said CCTV footage showed a man wearing a black hoodie, tracksuit pants and carrying a torch was trying to break into cars in the area at the time.
A Gucci card holder containing the victim's driver's licence and bank cards was stolen from a car in Blackwood Crt, as well as dog worming tablets and a black Kathmandu jacket.
A Samsung mobile phone stolen from a car in Carnegie Crt on the same night was found in the park and handed into police. A Samsung tablet stolen from the car was later located in Edward Hunter Reserve in Moe.
In unrelated incidents, police also are investigating thefts from cars in the Warragul area overnight on Wednesday night.
Offenders left behind thousands of dollars worth of power tools when they stole a wallet containing $80 cash from a car in Mills Rd.
On the same night, an Apple i-pod was stolen from a car in Henley Ave.
Police said two male offenders, in their late teens or early 20s were seen in the area.
