No spilt milk in rollover

Longwarry-Drouin Rd was closed on Sunday afternoon after a milk tanker truck jackknifed and the almost full tank rolled.
Police said the tanker driver edged onto the left hand side of a narrow section of road near Longwarry as an oncoming vehicle approached.
However, police said the truck and tanker tyres lost traction in gravel on the edge of the road, causing the truck and tanker to jackknife.
Police said the driver was unable to rectify the truck and the tanker rolled onto its side.
There were no leaks in the tanker but a second milk tanker attended the scene to drain the milk before heavy haulage attended to lift the tanker to an upright position.
Police said Melbourne Water and the Environment Protection Authority attended and declared the site free of contamination.
The incident occurred near Hammond Rd. The road was closed until heavy haulage and authorities cleared the scene.
