Moy-Yan programs to expand
Not your ordinary letter box but the type of thing manager of Moy-Yan Neighbourhood House at Garfield Jen Belsar plans making similar and other things will be the result of a major expansion of the range of activities the facility will provide.

A major expansion of programs and events at Garfield's Moy-Yan Community House is in the pipeline.
Formerly known as Bunyip and District Community House the venue in Beswick St, Garfield, also will utilise the town's former scout hall for a wide range of activities.
Jan Belsar, who took on the manager's position in May, said in addition to the fortnightly Foodbank service the house provides, she was planning to introduce in the near future carpentry and woodwork, welding and sculpture, mosaics, painting, material dying, pottery and perfumery.
Also on the drawing board is running a gallery and exhibitions, as well as a recycle cafe and boutique.
The Community House's service area covers the Bunyip, Longwarry, Nar Nar Goon, Tynong and Tonimbuk areas and Ms Belsar's aim is to greatly increase the number of people involved for the current 100.
She said her background involved community development, job skills training, events coordination and a number of branches of art and her plan was to expand community activities to get more people participating in the programs.
Ms Belsar's philosophy is "life should be as much fun as you can make it" and she loved bringing communities and people together.
