Man with machete arrested

A Warragul man was arrested at the Warragul Railway Station last weekend after police received reports of a man yelling abuse and carrying a machete.
The 26-year-old man was charged with possession of a controlled weapon.
Police were called to the railway station at 8pm on July 1 after receiving reports from a community member that a man was yelling abuse at another man.
When police arrived, they said the man was intoxicated and struggling to maintain his balance. The machete was located nearby.
The man was arrested on outstanding warrants and being in possession of a controlled weapon.
