Gippsland health award nominations open

Applications have opened for this year's Gippsland primary health awards.
The awards that acknowledge and celebrate the work of primary healthcare outcomes across the region will be presented in four categories - population, health, service and prevention.
The population section recognises creative ways primary healthcare groups engage with communities; the health category is for a commitment to the quality of care; service takes into account improvements made to the health system, and prevention focuses on demonstrated innovation.
Gippsland Primary Health Networks acting chief executive officer Angela Jacob said much of the work went unnoticed by the community.
Every day people are going above and beyond to ensure Gippsland people stay safe and their health and wellbeing is improved, she said.
Nominations are open at https://gphn.org.au/about-us/primary-health-awards/ until October 1 and winners will receive the awards at GPHN's annual meeting on November 15.
