Family, food and fun at Ellinbank

Students at Ellinbank Primary School recently welcomed families and friends to the Ellinbank Café - the culmination of weeks of hard work learning to make sandwiches, pikelets, and coconut balls.
Through the OzHarvest FEAST program, the school received cooking utensils and simple, nutritious recipes to support students in developing healthy eating habits.
For the special occasion, students set the tables with hand-written menus and original placemats, ready to serve their guests.
Each student practiced a range of skills - taking orders, recording them accurately, preparing and plating the food, and finally serving it with pride.
Mums, dads, aunties, uncles, and grandparents all enjoyed the delightful opportunity to share in the students' learning, view their work, and celebrate their achievements at school.
