It's round five of the West Gippsland Football Netball Competition, as Warragul Industrials face off with the undefeated ladder leaders.
Meanwhile, Bunyip and Garfield are both looking at winnable match-ups.
Inverloch-Kongwak vs Warragul Industrials
Warragul Industrials face yet another heavy hitter this week when they make the trip to Inverloch.
The Dusties copped the most brutal opening two rounds to begin their fixture against last year's grand finalists, but have evened the ledger with two big wins since then.
Despite that it's now appearing the worst is yet to come as Inverloch-Kongwak have quickly established themselves as the early frontrunner.
The Sea Eagles have been thereabouts for a number of years now but look primed to challenge for this year's flag after starting the year as the only undefeated team.
It makes the match a serious test for the Dusties.
They pushed Tooradin-Dalmore all the way three weeks ago without getting the result, and they now have another chance against a flag fancy.
Win here and they'll send a message to the rest of the competition.
Kilcunda Bass vs Bunyip
Bunyip head to the coast as they continue their search for their first win against Kilcunda Bass.
The Bulldogs have endured a rough three-week period that's seen them defeated by 57, 117 and 111 points respectively to be anchored on the bottom of the table .
They're in rebuild mode at the moment, and their lack of an under 18s side certainly hasn't made things any easier on the senior side.
It's all to put pieces in place for the future, but for most clubs it means enduring plenty of pain to eventually see the pleasure.
Still, this looms as a winnable contest given Kilcunda Bass have had their own struggles thus far.
The Panthers managed to get on the board last week against Koo wee rup after beginning their own year with three straight losses.
They were competitive in two of them, however, only truly lowering their colours against Inverloch-Kongwak.
Opportunities to win are looking rarer and rarer for the Bulldogs, so this is a game they'll want to put in a good showing for.
Korumburra Bena vs Garfield
Garfield will be out for redemption this week against Korumburra Bena
A highly competitive first two rounds, including a strong win over Bunyip, has given way to two big losses in recent weeks.
The Stars were simply found wanting against the likes of Nar Nar Goon and Inverloch-Kongwak, showing that they remain at a level where the slightest slip-up can see the good sides snatch games away from them.
Against Korumburra Bena though? They'll be fancying their chances.
Like the Stars, the Giants are one and three, having also beaten Bunyip.
Outside of that match, though, they've had issues. The Giants have been thrashed in every one of their losses, last year's wooden spooners continuing their lean on-field fortunes.
Expect some ferocity at the ball from both sides, given how they'll both be eyeing off a win here.
It will be about who maximises their moments and who doesn't.
Cora Lynn vs Dalyston
Fresh off their bye Cora Lynn takes on Dalyston in a battle between third and second on the ladder.
The Cobras have reeled off three wins in a row, doing exactly what's been required of them.
They've been made to fight for a couple of their victories, but regardless they're about where they expected to be at three and one.
Dalyston, meanwhile, have been defying some odds to be where they are.
The Magpies, having not managed more than two wins since the 2017 season, appear a very different team to past iterations.
Since a rather dismal round one defeat, like the Cobras they've powered to three straight wins.
Their last two weeks in particular have been impressive, as they beat Korumburra Bena and Bunyip by 81 and 111 points respectively.
It's a big step up for a side whose highest score last year was 12 goals.
Coming up against Cora Lynn will be a big change in intensity, however, and a good chance to test how far they've really come.
Against a bona fide top six side like the Cobras, a good showing will tell the rest of the competition that Dalyson's improvement is for real.
Other games
Nar Nar Goon hosts Tooradin-Dalmore in a battle between two of the best.
The Goon will be fuming they let last week's game against Phillip Island slip into a draw, while Tooradin-Dalmore have had a week off to reflect on their thumping defeat to the same team.
Whoever wins, there'll plenty to discuss.
Finally, Koo wee rup clashes with Phillip Island.
Three straight losses have the Demons careening away from top six calculations, and it will take a mighty effort here.
The return of goalkicker Jason Wells will no doubt help.
Phillip Island pulled off a Houdini escape to come away with two points last week, and will be very aware that they can't afford to give sides a good start like that again.
