A Drouin man has been charged with 30 counts of burglary and theft in relation to a series of crimes on Drouin businesses, predominantly licensed venues.
Baw Baw CIU detectives allege the 34-year-old man also is responsible for two burglaries at Drouin service stations in January and June this year in which $40,000 and $35,000 worth of cigarettes were stolen respectively.
Detectives executed a search warrant at a Drouin property on Friday where they located a substantial quantity of stolen property, including cigarettes.
The man has been charged with 30 counts of burglary, theft and handling stolen goods.
The charges relate to burglaries and thefts at two services stations, Bubble and Spin laundromat in July and then a spate of burglaries at licensed venues during August including Middels, the Royal Hotel, Robin Hood, Carvery King and Drouin Family Hotel.
The man has been bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court on October 4.
