Over the course of two weeks, students at St Paul's Anglican Grammar School's Warragul junior school built their cycling skills with former professional racing cyclist and class of 2009 alumnus Brenton Jones.
Students were excited to be able to bring their bikes to school and learn how to fit a helmet correctly, and to check the safety of their bike brakes, tyres and chains.
Their skills were put to the test with activities involving balancing beanbags on their heads while they rode up and down the court, weaving between cones and pedalling fast enough so that they could glide down the court.
The AusBike program allowed students to safely learn and grow as safe bike riders and ask questions, while being inspired and supported by a professional athlete.
