Pelican's day out

Why did the pelican cross the road?
A keen-eyed reader sent in this photo of a pelican getting the full Warragul experience as it struggled with traffic near the Smith St roundabout in the CBD.
One can only wonder if its next move was to make a submission to council about how difficult it can be to get across the street sometimes.
Unfortunately for the rest of us, flying above the traffic isn't an option.
