Offenders choose chips and gravy

Chips and gravy was the canteen order for offenders who stole alcohol and food from the Thorpdale Football Netball Club on the weekend.
In the third burglary at the club since May, and the second this month, offenders forced entry to the clubrooms before stealing a quantity of alcohol from the bar and food, including frozen chips and powdered gravy, from the canteen.
A similar hit on the club on August 4 saw offenders steal lollies, Gatorades, frozen chips, dim sims, hot dogs and alcohol.
The burglary occurred between 6pm Thursday and 9.30am on Sunday.
Police said offenders forced entry to the changerooms using a crowbar and then gained access to the clubrooms, bar and canteen.
