Drouin Country Women's Association members and the Committee for Drouin united last month to organise a successful "Autumn Clean Up Drouin" Campaign.
Recycled grain bags were converted by CWA members into "RAT" bags (Repurposed Alternative Trash Bags). One hundred of these were distributed, free of charge to the community at the April Rotary Drouin Craft and Produce Market with the hope individuals and families who go on their daily walks would collect a little rubbish.
The Committee for Drouin reported residents embraced the campaign and over the school holidays many photos were taken of family fun times collecting rubbish.
The Committee for Drouin acknowledged Drouin CWA, Drouin Lions, Drouin Hills Probus, Creative Drouin, Rotary, Friends of Drouin Trees, Drouin Stationeers, Baw Baw Shire, Keira and family, David, Lachlan and 3BBR for getting involved as well as members of the Drouin community who got involved and helped to make the town spotless.
