Labertouche man bailed after firearms seized

A 77-year-old Labertouche man was arrested and charged last week after detectives allegedly seized more than 20 firearms and a quantity of cannabis from his property.
Prahran Divisional Licensing Unit officers, with assistance from Latrobe CIU detectives, executed a warrant at a Labertouche Rd property last Monday.
The warrant was part of an ongoing investigation. Detectives also allegedly uncovered ammunition and a stolen vehicle from the premises.
A 77-year-old man was arrested at the scene and interviewed by police.
He was charged with handling stolen goods, drug and firearm offences.
He was bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court on September 25.
