Member for Narracan Gary Blackwood kept up a long-standing tradition of presenting student leadership badges at Yarragon Primary School recently.
Mr Blackwood had quite a task, not only presenting badges to school captains and vice-captains at a whole school assembly but also to house captains and junior school councillors.
Mr Blackwood spoke about the responsibilities of leadership and the need to support leaders in any situation.
He also praised the students as a community-minded and respectful group, and wished the whole scuhool the best for 2015.
