Youngsters learnt DJ, lighting and sound engineering skills from an international musician to run a series of “10 Minute Dance Parties”.
West Gippsland Arts Centre played host to internationally acclaimed musician and artist Joseph O’Farrell to run several workshops.
A group of young locals, ranging in age from nine to 12-years-old, harnessed their new skills to put on a series of short dance parties in a shipping container in the forecourt of West Gippsland Arts Centre on Saturday, December 18.
The youngsters entertained in excess of 100 people throughout the day.
The concept “10 Minute Dance Parties” has toured all over the world and the local crew of DJs described the experience as “awesome”, “the best day ever”, and “so much fun”.
