A 28-year-old woman died in Toombon on Saturday after the vehicle she was driving veered off a cliff and landed in Donnellys Creek.
Police said the vehicle was travelling north-west along Donnellys Creek Rd at 9.45am when it reached a bend and veered off the road, landing on its roof in Donnellys Creek.
Witnesses were the first to attend the collision and pulled the occupants out of the wrecked vehicle.
CPR was attempted on the female driver, however, she was unable to be revived and died at the scene.
Both passengers - a female teenager and a man - were taken to hospital by emergency services with non-life threatening injuries and remain in stable condition.
Investigations into circumstances surrounding the collision are ongoing.
The incident has added to the number of lives lost on Victoria's road this year, which sits at 143, up from 105 this time last year.
