The Hallora Hall Committee has continued its work in raising funds for the West Gippsland Hospital's oncology unit.
Committee members Dorothy Haywood and Linet McNamara recently visited the hospital to presented funds to the oncology unit following fundraising efforts by members in May.
The hall committee held a plant and produce street stall fundraiser over three days at the Palmerston St Kiosk in Warragul.
As well as working on the stall over the three days, the stall was the culmination of months of preparation and effort by the group.
Much of the fruit and vegetables going into the amazing jams and relishes they sold, as well as the beautiful plants were homegrown by the group.
A sausage sizzle hosted by the Warragul Lions Club helped boost their fundraising efforts. The event was a great success and the women were able to present cheques totalling $6650 to the West Gippsland Hospital's oncology unit.
