Stamp and coin fair in Warragul on Saturday
Warragul Exhibition Hall will host Warragul Philatelic Society's annual stamp and coin fair on Saturday.

The Warragul Philatelic Society will host its annual stamp and coin fair this Saturday and is expected to attract hundreds of dealers, collectors and visitors to the Exhibition Hall, Warragul.

Held for more than 50 years, the fair has offered opportunities to buy, sell or swap stamps, coins, postcards, militaria and swap cards.
The philatelic society has had solid interest from sellers and tables for dealers have been well sought after.
Catering also will be available.
Though the humble postage stamp is becoming quite novel in the household as we head towards email and the like the interest and price particularly of quality items remains buoyant.
Coin collecting has gone gangbusters with recent promotions of the great Australian coin hunt and the very latest AFL coins. Not only this the silver and gold prices have jumped and these types of coins have been heavily sought after and the price has risen accordingly.
The fair will be open from 9am to 3pm and features dealers from Melbourne, Gippsland and many Victorian locations.
The major fund-raising raffle which will be drawn on the day with winners notified will have tickets on sale at the door. The society is grateful for its many raffle sponsors.
Entry is free.
The fair regularly attracts visitors who have found an old album or some old coins and wish to have it valued. The Warragul Philatelic Society can assist or send the person onto dealers. Juniors are very well catered for as well and encouraged to take up the hobby and we offer a free stamp show bag which has generous offerings for as long as they last to promote stamp collecting.
