Retrospective performance

David Bridie from 'Not Drowning, Waving' and 'My Friend The Chocolate Cake' will deliver a retrospective musical journey at the Wesely of Warragul this weekend.
Local indie music lovers will welcome Bridie to Wesley of Warragul on Sunday, May 28 at 4pm as part of his string of concerts across Victoria and Tasmania.
From the global impact of his seminal 1980s and 1990s alt-pop groups, to his ongoing work as a solo artist and soundtrack composer, the scale of David's output and influence are matched by few Australian artists.
He was the lead vocalist, keyboard player, co-composer and co-producer of ARIA award winning band Not Drowining, Waving, and formed 'My Friend The Chocolate Cake' with cellist Helen Mountfort in 1989.
Alongside his own creative output, David has worked as a producer for George Telek, Christine Anu, Frank Yamma and Archie Roach.
David is one of the true individualists and innovators of Australian music, carving a unique path through a shifting cultural landscape to remain true to his vision. Join David at the piano for an intimate, retrospective musical journey through his astonishing body of work, accompanied by guitarist Rosie Excess.
In this intimate performance at Wesley of Warragul, David will play work from his numerous projects, while sharing stories from his substantial career.
