Retrospective exhibition celebrates six local artists

The works of six local artists are on display at the Gippsland Art Gallery for the "Wild Dogs from Down Under: Past and Present" exhibition.
The exhibition follows the story of the 2006 "Gippsland" exhibition, which started at the West Gippsland Arts Centre and toured to, in order, the Meeniyan Art Gallery; Burrinja Gallery, Upwey; Parliament House in Melbourne; Jiujiang in China; Gippsland Art Gallery, Sale; Latrobe Regional Gallery, and back to the West Gippsland Arts Centre in 2008.
The works of the six artists, known as the "Wild Dogs from Down Under", are again on display this year - both old and new works created specifically for the retrospective exhibition.
Paintings, sculptures, drawings and installations are all part of the exhibition.
Amongst the pieces on display are the 2006 "Wild Dog" sculpture by Laurie Collins, and Kerrie Warren's 2022 painting "In Flow".
"Wild Dogs from Down Under: Past and Present" will remain on display at the Gippsland Art Gallery in Sale until February 19 2023.
