Power tools stolen

Baw Baw CIU detectives are urging residents to report any offers for second-hand power tools after a series of thefts in Warragul over the weekend.
Detectives allege four thefts from vehicles occurred overnight on Friday.
The first incident saw power tools valued at $1000 stolen from a Mitsubishi Triton ute parked outside a house in MacArthur St.
Detectives said the ute was locked but the canopy, where the tools were located, was unlocked.
A second incident saw a 19-inch five spoke wheel stolen from a vehicle in a Howitt St carpark.
The wheel was removed from a Holden Commodore sedan. The vehicle was not broken into.
Power tools valued at $8000 were stolen from a vehicle parked in Mills Rd in the early hours of Saturday.
The theft is believed to have occurred between 2am and 2.30am and, again, a Mitsubishi Triton ute was targetted.
Detectives allege the canopy and tool box were forced open. A large number of Milwaukee-branded power tools were stolen along with a welding helmet and assorted hand tools.
No entry was made to the vehicle.
The fourth report was for number plates stolen from a used vehicle in Howitt St.
Detectives said the vehicle was parked in the yard of Turnbull Motors.
Anyone approached to buy second-hand power tools, living in the vicinity with CCTV or who has information which may assist enquiries is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppersvic.com.au or contact Warragul Police Station on 5622 7111.
