People living at or near Jindivick are again able to locally pick up parcels delivered by Australia Post.
The Atticus Health Clinic at Jindivick late last month became the "pick up" point for parcels and packages too large for letterbox delivery and sent through the post to local residents.
From last April, when the Jindi cafe that had been the delivery point for parcels closed, the Glen Cromie caravan park at Drouin West temporarily took on the service.
Mary Shattock, who with husband Matt have run the park for the past three years and had previous experience at the Yarragon post office, said she was asked by Australia Post if Jindivick people could collect their parcels there.
Ms Shattock said she enjoyed getting to know those from Jindivick but grew concerned about the dangers from cars entering the park too fast and a near miss of a youngster as well as the busy spring/summer period ahead.
Atticus Health stepped forward to provide a solution.
Parcels can be collected from its premises from 9am to 11.30am and 1.30pm to 4pm on weekdays and 9am and 2pm on Sundays.
General postal services, such as the sale of stamps and envelopes also are available.
