The first play is "Killing Katie" by Tracey Trinder, which explores female alliances in a tight-knit book club.
At each play reading local actors will bring the script to life, and all are welcome to attend.
Bookings are essential, as seating is limited, and can be made in person at The French Pear Cafe, 85 Princes Way, Drouin or by calling 5625 4383.
The reading is a free event but a set-price dinner menu will be available, along with coffee, cake and treats to purchase as desired.
Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:30pm reading.
The next reading dates are Thursday, May 25, and Thursday, June 29.
