Weather permitting seasonal swimming pools in Baw Baw Shire will open from the start of December.
The gates will swing open at outdoor pools at the Warragul Leisure Centre, Drouin, Neerim South, Trafalgar and Thorpdale and the indoor pool at Rawson on Wednesday, December 1 and remain open with some exceptions until the end of March.
The indoor aquatics centre at the Leisure Centre is open all year round.
Except for the Warragul outdoor pool that will open regardless of weather the other outdoor pools will open whenever the day's temperature is forecast to be a maximum of 25 degrees or more, except for early morning lap swimming that is not weather dependent.
All will close on Christmas and Boxing days and can be closed at anytime due to thunderstorms or extreme weather conditions.
Neerim South, Thorpdale and Rawson pools will close on days declared by authorities as Code Red (Catastrophic) fire danger.
Opening times from December 1 will be:-
Warragul outdoor pool at Leisure Centre:
Monday to Thursday: 6am to 8.30pm.
Friday: 6am to 7pm during summer months.
Weekends 8am to 7pm.
Drouin, Neerim South, Trafalgar:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6.30am to 7.30am for lap swimming regardless of weather.
Monday to Friday 3pm to 7pm.
Weekends and public holidays 1pm to 7pm.
Thorpdale:
Monday to Friday 3pm to 7pm.
Weekends, school and public holidays 1pm to 7pm.
Rawson indoor pool:
Monday, Wednesday Friday 6am to 7am for lap swimming.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 4pm to 6pm.
Wednesday 2pm to 6pm.
Friday 4pm to 7pm.
Saturday, school and public holidays 1pm to 7pm.
Sunday 1pm to 5pm.
Daily fees range from $3.80 for children and concession card holders, to $6.10 for an adult and $16.80 for a family.
Monthly and season passes also are available.
