A collection of intricate linocuts by local artist Helen Timbury are on display at the Red Tree Gallery until March 29.
The exhibition’s opening was held late last month and offically kicked off another excellent display of Timbury’s pieces.
Works by the Drouin-based artist have appeared at the gallery a number of times, and showcase her love for the Australian countryside and wildlife in detailed linocut prints.
The series of works currently on display at the Red Tree Gallery depict various animals and interesting people. Some are brightly coloured and have strong abstract influences, while others are more traditional black ink prints.
The detail in many of Timbury’s prints is impressive and extremely intricate.
Timbury is a graphic designer, illustrator and printmaker. She runs Helen Timbury Design out of a studio in Drouin, where she also facilitates printmaking classes.
Her pieces at the Red Tree Gallery are available for purchase in framed prints, unframed prints and printed fabric bags.
The Red Tree Gallery opens from 10am to 4pm every day at 420 Main Jindivick Rd, Jindivick.
