An annual art show showcasing the Tanjil Valley will return to Hill End this Queen's Birthday weekend.
The 15th Tanjil Valley Art Show will be open at the Hill End Community Centre in Paynters Rd from Saturday to Monday.
This community event is looked forward to by adults and children alike, with organisers working to achieve the title of "The Greatest Little Art Show in Gippsland".
The art show was established to showcase the Tanjil Valley and the beautiful area we live in through the eyes of artists.
This year's show has attracted just over 300 entries from all over Gippsland and beyond, with categories including 2D art for both adults, 14 to 18-year-olds, and under 14s.
The 2D art topic is "From the Tanjil Valley to Baw Baw" and the photography subject is "Baw Baw Shire". There is also a section for digital art, something not found in many art shows.
There are also six special awards to be judged, including "The Best Portrayal of the Tanjil Valley", with prizes totalling over $5000. The art show is sponsored by the Community Bank Trafalgar and District.
The art show will be open 10am to 4pm from Saturday to Monday with entry via gold coin donation. Refreshments will be available.
