A theft was halted in Drouin after the targeted vehicle collided with a fence.
Police reported the car theft from a County Drv driveway at about 3.30am on Friday.
A white 2016 Toyota Hilux collided with a fence on the property after its handbrake was released. It is unknown how access was gained and it appeared the vehicle wasn't started.
Cash was stolen from a wallet left inside the vehicle. Anyone with information is urged to contact Drouin police on 5625 2003.
In another incident, police are seeking information on a black 4WD after an attempted theft in Longwarry on Saturday morning.
The victim reported waking to find people at his vehicle parked in a Proctor Rd driveway.
He contacted police and followed a black 4WD with no registration plates and the back tray removed as it travelled along the Princes Fwy.
Police attempted to intercept the vehicle in Howitt St, Warragul. However, it fled along the Princes Fwy towards Nilma.
Despite the vehicle being entered, the victim reported nothing was stolen.
