Farnham's plea for highway fix

State parliament has been told that roads in West Gippsland, especially the Princes Highway between Nar Nar Goon and Bunyip, are being destroyed.
Member for Narracan Wayne Farnham raised the issue in parliament claiming much of the problem lay with increased heavy vehicle traffic transporting material from local mines and quarries for use in the government's Big Build program.

"They are worried that the failure of the Federal budget to improve road infrastructure in West Gippsland would continue to put lives at risk".
Mr Farnham asked the Minister for Roads and Road Safety to explain why the projects were not being funded when there were Labor Party governments in Canberra and Victoria.
