Book now for the MSO

Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will perform at West Gippsland Art Centre next month for "An Evening with the MSO: Mozart, Mendelssohn and More".
Always popular and quick to sell-out, make your booking today for the Thursday, August 31 concert to avoid disappointment.
The concert show will star concertmaster Dale Barltrop and 16-year-old prodigy Christian Li.
Christian Li is an ARIA-nominated violin player and an MSO Young Artist in Association, he has appeared on stages nationally and internationally, visiting Germany, USA, Israel and Asia.
Concertmaster Dale Barltrop is also highly regarded, having served as concertmaster of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in Canada, and has also taught at the University of British Columbia.
Together the two make quite a pair, and with MSO, will perform Caroline Shaw's "Entr'acte", Mozart's "Violin Concerto No.3", and Mendelssohn's "Symphony No.1".
Shaw's "Entr'acte" is described as lyrical and playful, with a touch of the absurd, while Mozart wrote his Violin Concerto No.3 while still a teenager at just 19.
While Mendelssohn's official "First Symphony" was written when he was 15, he had in fact written 13 by the age of 14. Symphony No.1 announced Mendelssohn as a serious compositional voice in Europe and serves as a musical embodiment of the eagerness and energy of youth.
"Mozart, Mendelssohn and More" will run for one hour and 40 minutes, including intermission.
Tickets are $45 for WGAC members, $55 full price, $50 for concession, $30 for those under 18 and $42 for groups of 10 or more.
Visit wgac.com.au or call the box-office on 5624 2456 for bookings or further information.
