Audit committee

The position of David Ashmore on Baw Baw Shire's audit and risk committee has been extended 12 months.
Councillors unanimously voted for the independent member to remain on the committee until July 26, 2024.
Cr Michael Leaney said Mr Ashmore was "a very good member".
Cr Leaney said Theresa Glab had resigned from the committee last year.
"It's felt that in order to maintain the level of experience within the committee, it would be a wise thing to have David continue for another year," Cr Leaney said.
He said the committee as a whole was doing "a fabulous job".
Mr Ashmore was appointed to the committee in July 2017. The experienced company director and chartered accountant is currently chair of the committee.
