If you won TattsLotto, would your reaction be to clean the house?
That's exactly what a Drouin woman did upon discovering she had won just over $2.5 million in the early hours of Sunday morning.
"I checked my ticket last night when I woke up randomly at 2am and couldn't go back to sleep," the woman said on Sunday. "I definitely couldn't get to sleep after that!"
"I had to wait for my husband to wake up and it was killing me," she added. "I started doing all this ironing and cleaning while I waited."
The gleeful woman recounted the story of her impromptu late-night cleaning session and breaking the news to her confused husband when an official from The Lott called to confirm the life-changing news.
"When he finally woke up, I said 'you need to come out and sit down please'. He was so confused.
"He started crying and I can't tell you some of the other words he used."
The Drouin woman held one of the two division one winning entries from the TattsLotto draw on Saturday night, winning $2,504,803.55.
"It's something you always dream of but never imagine to really happen to you," she said.
With a multi-million dollar boost her bank account, the merry mother has thought a lot about how to use her prize.
"There's lots of things we'd like to do, but helping the kids is a big one for us," she said. "We'd also like to be smart and invest it for the future."
"We did have a little celebration last night with a couple of quiet drinks while watching televsion."
The Drouin woman purchased a system seven entry from Drouin Lotto and Cards.
Shop owner Raj Joshi said the team were buzzing with excitement and overjoyed to be a part of someone's life-changing moment.
"We're thrilled to have played a part in this incredible milestone and wish the winner all the best for the future," he said. "Think about the buzz it would create in our community."
