Perfect spring weather greeted players who provided two thrilling semi finals in Mid Gippsland football over the weekend.

Newborough v Fish Creek
Two of the competition's very best sides met at Boolarra to compete for direct route to the grand final.
An unbeaten Newborough was up against an improving Fish Creek team with very real belief they were capable of inflicting the Bulldogs' first loss of the year.
And didn't they go close. The Kangaroos looked like they would get the win at various times before falling agonisingly short, Newborough winning 9.6-60 to 7.13-55.
