After three decades with the Cricket Gippsland board last Sunday's final at Drouin marked the end of his career in administration of the game.for George Munro (centre). Many of the region's "legends" from the past attended the match to acknowledge George's great contribution including Ron Harper (left) of Drouin, a four-time all Gippsland representative and Mark Ridgway, who after starting in the game at Warragul, went on to a career that included winning the Jack Ryder Medal as the outstanding p[layer in the Melbourne District competition before playing 44 games for Tasmania in the Sheffield Shield competition capturing 163 wickets.
