St Paul's Anglican Grammar School's annual years three to six house athletics carnival unfolded amidst glorious weather in a day of friendly competition.
Students participated in an array of field events that included hurdles, long jump, shot put, triple jump, high jump, discus and various running competitions, putting their best efforts forward.
The final standings reflected the spirited competition, with Navy House emerging triumphant on 384 points followed by Burgundy House on 368 points, Emerald House on 294 points and Gold House on 236 points.
An exciting teacher versus student relay was held at the end of the day but, despite the best efforts of students to keep up, they honourably conceded defeat to the older generation.
Through the house athletics carnival, teachers promoted physical health and student happiness as well as fostering engagement in pursuing other co-curricular activities.
