Members of Drouin's Men Shed put down their tools for a day to help out storm hit residents of Mirboo North.
The Mirboo North area suffered more than most when a fierce storm ripped through Gippsland on February 12.
Late last month the men's shed group travelled to the still recovering town to give residents a bit of a "breather" and to show they others were thinking of them when they put on a free lunch for 75 people at Mirboo North hotel.
President Brian Williams and vice-president Jimbo Hunt were prime movers behind the luncheon to give lift to the residents spirits after the stress and work they had put in repairing and cleaning up the considerable damage as well as filling n a myriad of forms.
Free tickets were also given to guests in the draw for numerous donated prizes including tools, gift vouchers and cash.
Further help including donations of food hampers came from Drouin churches, the U3A (University of the 3rd Age) and GIVIT, a national charity that help out areas after natural disasters such as floods, fires and storms.
According to the Drouin Men's Shed members it was a very positive experience topped off by incredible service by the hotel delivering a great meal, drinks and cakes.
