Combine team win at Thorpdale

Thorpdale played on its home green for the first time this year on Saturday.
The division two team hosted top of the ladder Longwarry, who arrived very early to practice on the nigh on perfect green. Unfortunately for the home team, this thorough approach boded well for the visitors who romped home with a four-rink win.
Division two: Thorpdale lost to Longwarry 57/95
Skip Danny "Vanda" Van Zuylen's team suffered the most with a loss of 11/26. Skip Ron "Bonnie" Mackie's team were the next closest with a loss of 16/27.
Skip Ben Powell's team made a loss of eight shots, with a final score of 15/23.
Skip Brendan Jennings' team were the stars of the day, with a fight-back to lose by a mere four shots, 15/19.
Division six: Thorpdale/Yarragon defeated Moe (4) 46/30
Meanwhile, division six were also playing at home.
Skip Darron "Pol" Fraser's Thorpdale team led all day and came home victorious, with a 14-shot win, 28/14.
Skip Marg Arnold's Yarragon team came from behind to win 18/16, ensuring a 16-shot overall victory for the home team.
It was a warm day filled with laughter and fun.
