The Baw Baw Arts Alliance held its annual general meeting last Tuesday evening at the VRI Hall in Warragul.
The hall has been given a second life thanks to BBAA and is now known as the VRI Artspace.
Baw Baw Shire arts and cultural officer Melissa Forlano conducted the annual BBAA committee elections at the meeting.
Past president Janine Richardson handed over the meeting to new president, Jessie McLennan. Jeff Thege was re-elected as secretary and Prue Barridge was re-elected as treasurer.
Prue also was awarded life membership to the Alliance, recognising her tireless work as treasurer over the past eight years.
The general BBAA committee is now represented by Deborah Churchill, Anita George, Kathleen Kendall, Carol Monson, Sue Murphy, Marlene Ogden, Janine Richardson, Yvette Stubbs and Ingrid Thomas.
While some improvements to the VRI Hall are still to be completed, drop-in groups will run in the new space, including the Monday drawing group and Thursday mixed media group.
BBAA's first "Jewelry Makers Fair" will be held at the VRI Artspace on Saturday September 21, between 9am and 2pm.
