A man was tasered as police investigated the theft of four puppies in Warragul over the weekend.

A man was tasered as police investigated the theft of four puppies in Warragul over the weekend.
Police allege the six-week old puppies - American Staffordshire bull terrier cross red nose pitbulls valued at $950 each - were stolen from a backyard in Gladstone St, Warragul on Saturday.
The owner attended at the police station to report the theft of two puppies. When returning home, they found two more puppies had been stolen.
Police attended an Albert Rd, Warragul address on Sunday and executed a search warrant. Police said one puppy was recovered.
A 43-year-old Warragul man at the scene was tasered after allegedly hitting out at officers.
Police said he was charged with theft and assaulting police. He was bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court at a later date.
After further police investigations, the remaining three puppies were located and returned to their owner.
