Ripplebrook fatality

A woman has died following a single vehicle crash at Ripplebrook on Friday night.
Local police said they were still investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
Emergency services were called to Westernport Rd at about 10.30pm after reports a car had crashed into a tree which had fallen across the roadway.
On arrival, services located the female driver and her passenger. Both were treated at the scene but the driver died.
The female passenger was taken to hospital for further treatment.
It is the second death on Baw Baw roads this month, following a 74-year-old Longwarry man's death on Longwarry-Drouin Rd on March 8.
