Recognised for 50 years in building industry

Warragul building company Farnham Developments has been recognised for 50 years of membership with the Housing Industry Association.
HIA representatives presented managing director Phillip Farnham with a commemorative plaque and certificate at the company's Warragul base.
The presentation was made by HIA Victoria president Glenn Mitchell and attended by HIA representatives, Member for Narracan Wayne Farnham and HIA Victoria immediate past president Steve Bright.
Mr Mitchell said the milestone reflected Farnham Developments' longstanding involvement in Gippsland's residential building industry.
"Reaching 50 years of HIA membership is a significant achievement and reflects the enduring commitment Farnham Developments has shown to quality building, industry leadership and serving the communities of Gippsland," he said.
Farnham Developments was established by George and Joyce Farnham in 1976, initially operating from a home office in Warragul.
Phillip Farnham paid tribute to the company's employees, clients, tradespeople and family members who had contributed to the business during the past five decades.
"It is a testament to the dedication of our team, the loyalty of our clients and the strong relationships we have built throughout the region over many years," he said.
"We are grateful to everyone who has been part of our story and helped us reach this milestone."
HIA chief executive business services Fiona Nield said the company had built homes throughout Gippsland and the Latrobe Valley while establishing a strong reputation within the industry.
Wayne Farnham, who was involved with the company before entering Parliament, said longstanding businesses played an important role in regional communities.
"Milestones like this are an opportunity to recognise the contribution businesses such as Farnham Developments make through building homes, creating jobs, supporting families and strengthening our local economy," he said.
Mr Bright completed his apprenticeship with Farnham Developments and said the company had provided valuable guidance and opportunities early in his career.
"Every tradie remembers where they got their start, and for me, it was Farnham Developments," he said.
"It is fantastic to see the business recognised for 50 years of quality workmanship, professionalism and pride in the homes they build."
