A Meet the Candidates forum will be held in Warragul later this month ahead of the November state election.
The forum will be an opportunity for community members to hear from candidates and be involved in a question and answer session.
Six candidates have indicated their intention to nominate for the Narracan electorate including sitting Liberal member Wayne Farnham, Janette Langley (ALP), Ben Lucas (One Nation), Alyssa Weaver (Greens), Geoff Dethlefs (Family First) and Moss Page (Victorian Socialists).
Forum organiser Leonie Blackwell said five of the six candidates had confirmed their attendance, with only Ms Weaver yet to confirm.
She said the purpose of the forum was to help community members make an informed choice when they voted for the November 28 election.
"We are aiming to create an evening that is civil, informative and genuinely useful to the people of Narracan," Ms Blackwell said.
Candidates will be given two minutes each to address introduce themselves and outline what they have to offer, as well as two minutes each for closing statements at the end of the forum.
Three local questions will be presented to the candidates who will have 90 second to respond. The questions relate to Kurnai elders, treaty and self determination; Nar Nar Goon CFA and firefighter health; and, agricultural land and battery developments.
The questions have been provided to candidates in advance.
An informal meet and greet with candidates will be held at the end of the forum.
The forum will be held on Tuesday, October 27 at the Downtowner, Warragul at 7.30pm.
