A disability football team could be up and running in West Gippsland as soon as next year should there be enough interest locally.
Disability advocate David Kelly is aiming to set up an inclusive team for those wanting to get out and give footy a crack.
With an aim to play in the Victorian Football Integration Development Association (FIDA), a competition for people with intellectual disabilities, David is on the hunt for players across the Warragul and Drouin region.
The prospective team will play against sides based in both country and metro, with an East Gippsland side already up and running.
A longtime player and passionate football man himself, David said anyone and everyone is welcome to come along and join to come out and have fun.
For more information contact Davis at 0482 061 137.
