Nominations for this year's Cardinia Shire's Stan Henwood Awards are now open.

Nominations for this year's Cardinia Shire's Stan Henwood Awards are now open.
The awards recognise the dedication of shire citizens to the community.
Mr Henwood was heavily involved for almost all his life with numerous organisations and clubs in the shire and especially in his home town of Tynong.
In addition to receiving an OAM for his community service he also received a Prime Minister's medal for service to sport.
More information about the awards including eligibility criteria and how to nominate are available at www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/StanHenwoodAward, www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/volunteering or by calling the shire's customer service on 1300 787 624.
Nominations must be submitted online via the SmartyGrants portal https://cardinia.smartygrants.com.au/Stan2024.
Closing date is Sunday, March 10.
Nominators need to register an account before preparing and submitting a nomination form.
Previous recipients and residents that have been a Cardinia councillor within the past four years are not eligible.
Presentations of awards will be made during council's National Volunteer Week celebrations in May.
